Along with this content is a section regarding events and show's that the composer will be perfroming in. Dan often peforms live piano and cello at various locations around Victoria, BC. While some pieces are performed from memory most of his live work is improvised. This method of playing is one of Dan's strong attributes as a composer, pianist, and cellist.
Lessons Are Available
If you are interested in learning piano Dan offers a flexible and improvisational approach to studying the instrument. As his second instrument of choice Dan performs cello with an essence of his own making. Having an accomplished practice over the art of cello Dan does offers cello lessons. While his compositional techniques are originally based in conservatory theory, Dan has taken his practices beyond the classical approach into a more free, lyrical style greatly involved with improvisation. If you are interested in acquiring some of these skills you will be happy to learn that Dan offers lessons in composition and improvistaion. Dan's music is available for purchase on CD. More information on each album is available in the music section. Dan's music is lyrical and modern sometimes drawing influence from jazz, film, or classical romantic styles. It really is a style all his own that he has developed over the years.
